Terms
Kin is free. This page is the agreement for using it, in plain words.
What you get
Kin is free to download and use on Macs you own or control.
Some features need Apple Intelligence on macOS 26, or an AI key of your own from another provider. Those are not sold or supplied by Kin, and their availability is up to Apple and the provider.
Your data
Kin keeps your contacts and notes on your Mac and has no accounts. What leaves your Mac, and when, is set out on the privacy page.
The usual limits
Kin is provided as is. It is worked on with care, but it is software: it may have bugs, features may change, and a cloud AI provider may change what it offers. To the extent the law allows, Michael Li is not liable for indirect losses from using Kin. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you where you live.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA. If a term is found unenforceable, the rest stand.
Changes and contact
These terms may change; the date at the bottom of the page says when they last did. Questions about any of this: michael@kincontacts.com.
